Take a look inside the gorgeous home at St. William's Gate in Pilling and find out about the inspiration behind the design choices made by the team at Lifestyle Interiors when putting the scheme together.
INTRODUCING THE INTERIOR DESIGN TEAM
Gemma Schofield and her team at Lifestyle Interiors of Cheshire designed a fresh new scheme for The Brock at Create Homes' fourth development in Pilling, Lancashire, having worked on previous successful interior schemes on their other developments.
St. William's Gate, set in a countryside location, close to the coast on the Wyre, offers quality, spacious homes for every type of family, with quality Stuart Frazer kitchen's at their heart. Gemma's brief was to bring the luxury spaces in this georgeous family home to life with soft furnishings and decor and really inspire home buyers with the modern, designer style that is synonymous with the Create Homes brand. “The Brock was fun to design and surprisingly spacious, so we were able to fit larger items of furniture into the rooms to make a real statement," said Gemma.
The Brock is a spacious bay-fronted family home with an integral garage. The Brock provides a large kitchen/diner and family lounge, four double bedrooms, a large family bathroom. The superior master bedroom also has an ensuite shower room and outside there is a generous garden with access to gorgeous countryside views. DESIGN TIPS: ROOM BY ROOM
Explore some of the designer tips & tricks that Gemma and her team used to create this lovely family home.
THE SITTING ROOM
Gemma says: I commissioned classic bespoke furniture to fit the spacious lounge in order to showcase the space to the max
DESIGNER TIP: Hints of black and metal make the neutral scheme really pop
THE MASTER BEDROOM
Gemma says: I used luxurious fabrics and wall panelling to give the master bedroom a hotel-inspired look and brought the colours through into the ensuite too
DESIGNER TIP: Mix colours and textures with your styling to add interest - but keep to your chosen colour palette. Use a beautiful light fitting to add more glamour to your boudior and tie in with other accessories in the room
THE SECOND BEDROOM
Gemma says: I used a modern twist on a four-poster bed for this generous second double bedroom
DESIGNER TIP: Use hints of metallic sheen in the wallpaper and the soft furnishings to add glamour
THE KIDS' BEDROOMS
Gemma says: For the boy’s room, I used science as the inspiration for the black & white themed design using wall art, accessories and a themed mural
DESIGNER TIP: Personalise a room by echoing the interest of the occupant
THE BATHROOMS
Gemma says: Simple touches like towels and luxury products bring the bathrooms to life and help accentuate the spa-like feel of the space
DESIGNER TIP: Gold-coloured accessories add luxury and glamour to a bathroom
THE KITCHEN DINER
Gemma says: I chose clever accessories to compliment the wood-effect furniture and dressed the tables so people could imagine how the space would work for entertaining
DESIGNER TIP: Adding pots of herbs adds a fresh look to the kitchen and that splash of green helps bring the outside in
THE UTILITY ROOM
Gemma says: It was important that the utility room picked up the same styling as the kitchen
DESIGNER TIP: Add a dash of fun to functional spaces with your choice of wall art
