Interior design secrets of The Brock show home
INTRODUCING THE INTERIOR DESIGN TEAM
Gemma Schofield and her team at Lifestyle Interiors of Cheshire designed a fresh new scheme for The Brock at Create Homes' fourth development in Pilling, Lancashire, having worked on previous successful interior schemes on their other developments.
St. William's Gate, set in a countryside location, close to the coast on the Wyre, offers quality, spacious homes for every type of family, with quality Stuart Frazer kitchen's at their heart. Gemma's brief was to bring the luxury spaces in this georgeous family home to life with soft furnishings and decor and really inspire home buyers with the modern, designer style that is synonymous with the Create Homes brand. “The Brock was fun to design and surprisingly spacious, so we were able to fit larger items of furniture into the rooms to make a real statement," said Gemma.
The Brock is a spacious bay-fronted family home with an integral garage. The Brock provides a large kitchen/diner and family lounge, four double bedrooms, a large family bathroom. The superior master bedroom also has an ensuite shower room and outside there is a generous garden with access to gorgeous countryside views. Here, Gemma gives us some insight into how the designer look for the show home was put together for The Brock at St. William’s Gate.
When designing The Brock interior scheme for Create Homes, we considered the demographics of the customer and the most important features of the home we wanted to show off for family buyers.
The Brock was fun to design and surprisingly spacious, so we were able to fit larger items of furniture into the rooms to make a real statement. Designing the scheme was easier than usual due to an extremely well thought out house design!
We felt we wanted to work with a very classic and tailored light & neutral base palette and bring depth to the scheme by adding a touch of black as an accent colour. Black features in the accessories & styling, the frames of the artwork and even on the piping of our bespoke handmade cushions. It’s subtle, but brings a strength and presence to the scheme.
Another very on-trend accent colour we pulled through the scheme was deep burnt copper. This rich caramel amber brown brings a luxurious and expensive feel to the show home and provides a pop of richness.
Bespoke sofas in the lounge showcased plenty of seating for all the family. The spacious kitchen/diner was set to entertain a family and guests, with its large dining table, complete with a gorgeous centre pendant light above, designed to wow.
The Brock is a fantastic family home, so it was fitting that two children’s bedrooms were dressed to impress and inspire buyers too. We designed a younger twin room, complete with camping-inspired tent beds for our young explorers, to inspire imaginary adventures and an older teen boy room with a nod to science, to tie in with the upcoming GCSE exams and school life.

Our Master bedroom was designed around a hotel room one of our designers visited last year. It features bespoke panelling to the walls and a showcase master bed. Again, our neutral calming base pallet colours are strengthened with pops of black and brass accessories to give that considered and aspiring bedroom we would all like to sleep in!
We hope you enjoy your visit to The Brock at St. William’s Gate Pilling. I am sure that buyers will really love the interior schemes we have created there and hope that they will gain the inspiration they need to turn their Create Home into their perfect dream home for themselves and their families.
