Every inch of space in the kitchen diner has been organised efficiently to create the perfect open-plan room, perfectly suited for modern lifestyles.
There is a logical flow through the different zones, whether they are used for preparing and cooking food, eating, sitting or entertaining, with careful consideration of how the whole space will work as a whole.
A mixture of base cupboards, wall and tall units in a choice of beautiful materials, provide maximum storage and house quality appliances, whilst the surfaces are beautiful, practical and hard-wearing, providing a sleek & sophisticated look that won’t date.
THE PERFECT LAYOUT
The kitchen zone in every Create Home kitchen diner has a perfect layout, designed to bring the main features together in the kitchen – the oven, hob, sink and fridge.
The appliances are positioned comfortably round the kitchen, allowing you and your guests to move freely around the space, with easy access to all the related storage required.
Whilst cooking, parents can interact with their children, help them with homework and monitor their TV or internet use, or they can chat to their guests, who can relax with a drink and interact with their busy hosts.
Extractors pull the cooking smells away whilst you entertain your guests and show off your culinary skills.

MORE IDEAS FOR MAKING YOUR KITCHEN DINER TOTALLY UNIQUE
- ZONING: Use different floor coverings such as tiles & Amtico, rugs and wall colours to create zones within your kitchen diner space. This helps to define the role of your different areas, whether it be for cooking, dining or relaxing. However, it’s ideal to keep each zone within the same colour palette to keep cohesion across the entire space.
- WALLPAPER: Though it’s best to wait until the plaster has fully settled & dried out until you decorate your new kitchen with wallpaper, by papering a feature wall in your dining or seating area, you will bring instant personality to your space. The choices are endless, and easy to replace when you fancy a change. Have fun and be brave. Go for something that really makes a statement!
- SEATING: Comfortable seating is very important for the enjoyment of your kitchen and dining space. Make sure that the bar stools you choose have back rests and a padded or shaped seat. Also, ensure your dining chairs are ergonomically designed and of good quality. Try out all seating before you buy. This will ensure that in the long term, your experience in the room is a relaxing and enjoyable one.
- WINDOW DRESSINGS: Your kitchen’s window dressings are easy to overlook. Not only is it a practical way to control your kitchen’s lighting, it’s a great way to add personality to your space. Curtains add a softer feel and offer an endless variety of fabrics and patterns, whilst blinds are more practical. With endless choices available, you don’t have to compromise style over function. If your window is above the sink, select a fabric or blind that is suitable for moist conditions and is easy to clean. Blinds, such as roller or slatted, come in a range of colours & materials, and are great for light control and privacy. Both curtains and blinds can be operated by remote control, providing a bright or intimate space easily, at the click of a button.

Try adding open shelving or wall niches to display your favourite items such as pots, plants and sculptural pieces, or use paintings, photographs & posters to add a natural sense of warmth and character to your room.
